*Train staff on key product and supplier lists to ensure familiarity and to prevent sales teams from selecting inferior / non-key product and suppliers
*Oversee the loading of rates of key suppliers into tourplan and ensure accuracy of rates
*Negotiate improved and best-in-industry terms & conditions which each of the key product / suppliers which are aligned with the business standard payment terms & conditions
*Negotiate over-rides and increase gross margin
*Develop an internal process to notify sales consultants of new and existing specials as well as pre-priced circuits from key product / suppliers
*Work with the marketing team to distribute the specials to the trade and online databases on a regular basis
*Develop a product training programme for the sales consultants to improve destination and key product / supplier know-how. You will scheduled regular supplier training, site inspections and other familiarization trips as necessary as well as test and monitor sales consultant’s knowledge and expertise
*Design, implement and manage product development strategies across various destinations. Your approach to product management is analytical and you will optimize performance according to specific KPIs to be agreed
*Management and maintenance of all product, wherever it is found, including on the company’s website, affiliate / partner websites and offline brochures. You will be required to ensure that all product is “on-brand” and the pricing, logistics and related information is up-to-date / accurate
*Supplier Contracts, training from suppliers, and rates up to date in the Drive for consultants
*Assist Consultants with supplier issues - surrounding invoicing, honoring agreed terms, guest complaints, and the like
*Analyse and monitor the performance (as measured by sales / profitability) of the various product listed on the company’s website and affiliate / partner websites and work closely with the sales and marketing teams to improve performance over time.
